Sometimes you simply can’t beat the classics.

We’ve brought together three of the great names of English cheese in one box: a soft, a blue and a Cheddar, each very different and each a brilliant example of its style.

Baron Bigod is a soft, bloomy-rind cheese made in Suffolk, with a rich, creamy texture and wonderfully savoury, mushroomy flavours as it ripens.

Colston Bassett Blue Stilton PDO is beautifully creamy and balanced, with those distinctive blue flavours running through the cheese without overwhelming it. It also happens to be my favourite blue cheese.

And then there’s Montgomery’s Farmhouse Cheddar — a traditional clothbound Somerset Cheddar with a firm, slightly crumbly texture and wonderfully complex, savoury flavours.

We’ll add a box of crackers and a jar of chutney, and you’ve got a rather fabulous English cheeseboard ready to enjoy.

Whether you’re sending it as a gift, introducing someone to artisan English cheese or simply want three really good cheeses without having to make the difficult decisions yourself, we’ll take care of the choosing.

Jen’s note: If you asked me to choose three cheeses to show someone just how good English cheese can be, these would be very difficult to beat. And with my favourite blue and my favourite cheese full stop both in the same box, I may be slightly biased!
