Free Flexi Shipping
We offer free local cheese delivery with no minimum order with our flexi delivery service if you live in our neighbourhood*.
All we ask is that you place your order by 11pm on a Sunday for delivery the following week. Select Flexi Local Delivery for this option. We are sorry but we can’t let you know in advance when your order will be with you, but if you are out when we deliver, we will try and contact you to let you know where your order has been left.
*Our neighbourhood covers the following postcodes: RG1, RG4 (5,7,8,9), RG7 (4,5,6,7), RG8, RG14, RG18, RG19, RG20 (8), RG30 and RG31.
**Flexi delivery is not always available during Christmas periods.
If you live outside of our flexi delivery service area (or if you require your cheese on a specific day) you can choose when and where you want your cheese delivery to be made. We deliver to most of the UK (excluding Highlands & Islands) via an overnight courier or 1st class Royal Mail. Delivery is charged at £5.95. Each parcel contains ice to keep it chilled during transit, but you should refrigerate your cheese as soon as it arrives. If you are not home when delivery is attempted, the courier is instructed to leave your parcel at your location rather than returning it to their local depot. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee a time that our courier will deliver but as we are sending chilled items it is best to select a delivery date when you will be available to receive your parcel.
When you place an order online, it is classed as an offer. By proceeding through the checkout process and accepting our Terms and Conditions, you are making an offer to purchase the goods which, if accepted by The Pangbourne Cheese Shop, will result in a binding contract.
Your completion of the checkout process does not constitute The Pangbourne Cheese Shop’s acceptance of your order. Payment will be taken using your preferred method and an acknowledgment of receipt of your order will be emailed to you. Acceptance of your order and the formation of a contract between you and The Pangbourne Cheese Shop will take place on dispatch to you of the products ordered, unless The Pangbourne Cheese Shop has notified you that they do not accept your order, or you have cancelled it (please refer to Returns and Refunds).
Whilst your payment method will, therefore, be debited before the contract is formed, if your order is ultimately rejected, a full refund will be made immediately. If for some reason you do not receive an email acknowledging receipt of your order, yet your payment method has been debited, please notify The Pangbourne Cheese Shop without delay.
Personal details and payment method information supplied by you must be correct and valid and such that you are authorised to use.
Pricing includes VAT (where applicable) at the current rate. Prices may be updated periodically and this may affect orders already in the system. If so, The Pangbourne Cheese Shop will inform you of the revised price before dispatching your order; you may then choose to accept or decline the order.
Payment is carried out through secure gateways using PayPal. This is a world-recognised and established company that accepts all major credit and debit cards. While The Pangbourne Cheese Shop tries to ensure that all prices on their website are accurate, errors may occur. If they discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered, they will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If they are unable to contact you, they will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.
If you wish to cancel an order you have made, please contact The Pangbourne Cheese Shop immediately. The Pangbourne Cheese Shop may not accept cancellation of orders for perishable items (such as cheese and meat), because cutting, packing and dispatch often happens very shortly after receiving the order. If The Pangbourne Cheese Shop accepts the cancellation of your order, and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.
Returns and Refunds
You must inform The Pangbourne Cheese Shop within 24 hours of any problem with your delivered order. Do not return the goods – The Pangbourne Cheese Shop will organise a courier to collect them so they can be inspected and will endeavour to resolve your concerns without delay.
Returns of perishable items (such as cheese and meat) are normally only accepted if the goods are found to be damaged before delivery to you. If The Pangbourne Cheese Shop accepts the return, and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.
Occasionally it may not be possible to send you the exact cheese ordered. Should this occur The Pangbourne Cheese Shop will dispatch a suitable replacement of equal quality and value. Where possible, you will be informed about the replacement and your agreement obtained before your order is dispatched.
Cutting and Weights
Our cheeses are cut by hand, by us in the shop. We are usually very efficient in cutting to an exact weight but occasionally we may cut too much or too little. If we have cut one cheese a little underweight we will make it up with a larger piece of another cheese. Whole cheeses may vary occasionally in size, colour and weight, this is totally outside of our control. Weights listed for whole cheeses are therefore approximate.

The Pangbourne Cheese Shop is not responsible for any business loss or damage, which does not result directly from their actions, or that was not foreseeable at the time of ordering.
