There’s something about The Fine Cheese Co. Rosemary and Extra Virgin Olive Oil Crackers that just lifts a cheeseboard and makes even the simplest snack feel a bit special. The rosemary combined with their crisp texture makes them one of my favourite crackers.
My Go-To for a Herb-Infused Treat
If you’re after a cracker that really holds its own on a cheeseboard, these Rosemary and Extra Virgin Olive Oil Crackers from Fine Cheese Co. are hard to beat. They’re part of the ‘Partners for Cheese’ range, known for enhancing any cheese experience. With a perfectly balanced blend of rosemary and olive oil, these crackers elevate the flavours of both cheese and accompaniments, adding gourmet flair. They’ve become a staple for me, especially when I want a cheeseboard to feel more refined and memorable.
Flavour-wise, you get that earthy rosemary coming through, with a gentle richness from the olive oil. They’re crisp and crunchy (always important in a cracker), and there’s a warmth to them that reminds me of Mediterranean holidays. The olive oil is there, but it doesn’t take over; it just adds a bit of depth.
The rosemary is fresh and aromatic, but doesn’t overpower the olive oil; they complement each other nicely. I love that you can smell the herbs as soon as you open the box. These aren’t just a base for cheese; they’re delicious on their own.
A touch of sea salt balances the rosemary and olive oil, highlighting their flavours. There’s enough salt to balance the oil’s faint sweetness for a savoury, herbal, and slightly fruity bite. The balance makes these crackers shine. Nothing overpowers, and they’re as lovely to smell as to eat. They pair with almost any cheese.
These crackers are brilliant with all sorts of cheeses, creamy, strong, hard, or somewhere in between. Here are a few of my favourite pairings if you’re looking for inspiration:
Jen’s Note: These crackers are an essential fixture in our house. Not only are they great straight from the box, but they really come into their own on a cheeseboard or as a base for canapés when friends pop round. For me, the best way to enjoy them is with some goat’s cheese and a drizzle of honey. If I’m feeling a bit indulgent, I’ll add a spoonful of fig jam or some of our homemade olive tapenade for good measure.
