Ingredients:
8 Sausages (Chris loves Cumberland sausages with that extra bite!)
1kg Maris Piper Potatoes (cut into even sized pieces)
125ml milk
1tbsp butter
150g Mrs Kirkham’s Lancashire Cheese (grated)
Salt and Pepper to taste
Method:
Cook the sausages as per their instructions. Chris usually pops hers in the oven at 180C for 25-30 minutes.
While the sausages are cooking boil your potatoes for 15-20 minutes until they’re soft and drain. Heat the milk, butter and cheese in a small pan and pour over the potatoes. Mash everything together and add salt and pepper to taste.
Put the mashed potatoes into a shallow oven proof dish, sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top and grill until the cheese starts to brown.
Serve with your sausages and any extra vegetables that you fancy!
