Ingredients
- 225g Self Raising Flour
- A pinch of salt
- 75g Butter (cubed)
- 75g Appleby’s Cheshire Cheese
- 75g Sultanas
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 1 teaspoon Marmite (yeast extract)
- 100ml milk
- Paper bun cases for baking
Method
- Pre heat the oven to 190°C
- Mix the flour & salt in a bowl, add the butter and rub it into the flour so that it forms a breadcrumb like mixture
- Add the Appleby’s Cheshire & sultanas to the mixture, then mix in the eggs, marmite and enough of the milk to make a dough
- Knead the dough and then divide it half. Cut each half into 10 equal bun portions and place each portion in paper bun cases
- Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until the buns have risen and turned golden brown
- Cool on a wire rack & enjoy!
