Beauvale is a soft, creamy blue cheese with plenty of pedigree. It has a rich flavour which lingers on the tongue
Beauvale Cheese is a soft, smooth blue cheese created by Robin Skailes at the Cropwell Bishop Creamery. Cropwell Bishop are famous for their crumbly blues such as Blue Stilton and Shropshire Blue. However, their Beauvale is younger and creamier. It is matured for 7 weeks at the creamery and during this time it becomes similar in texture to a Gorgonzola Dolce but with the fabulous blue pedigree from its older Blue Stilton brother.
Beauvale Cheese takes its name from the Vale of Belvoir where it is made, and its logo was designed by children at a local Montessori school.
This cheese is rich in flavour with savoury tones and a gentle hint of spiciness. Perfect when melted through pasta or used in a blue sauce to accompany a steak. It pairs brilliantly with a smooth ruby port when eaten on its own or part of a cheeseboard.
