Comté is produced in the Jura Massif region of Eastern France. The unpasteurised cow’s milk used is mainly from Montbeliarde Cattle.
It is a hard mountain cheese which is matured to perfection in the silence and darkness of special caves where the cheese gets its unique taste, texture and colour. It is one of the most popular cheeses in France and the best selling. 12 months old, this Comte has a rich and nutty texture, a lingering flavour and a caramel sweetness.
