Oxford College White with Truffles is a decadent, bloomy rind cheese. The cheesemaker takes their soft, creamy College White cheese, slices it in half and adds a rich layer of black truffle. Think of it as a cheese/truffle sandwich if you will.

College White is a brie style cheese made for the Oxford Cheese Company. It was originally made to be eaten within the Oxford Colleges but has become so popular that its fame has spread. A perfect cheese for truffle lovers.

When this cheese is ripe it develops a very strong flavour not dissimilar to the French cheese Chaource. The layer of black truffle adds a distinctively unique flavour. Not as strong as the Camembert aux Truffes but a winner all the same!

Like so many soft, truffle filled cheeses this one pairs beautifully with a glass of Champagne
