Délice des Crémiers is a soft, decadent creamy cheese, from the Burgundy region of France. It is extremely rich and luxurious, due to the fact it is made with cream, double cream and crème fraiche! It has a deliciously soft spreadable interior which is rich, creamy and velvety smooth with a slight lemony sour edge. It is the perfect match to a glass of champagne!
Délice des Crémiers literally translates as Creamy Delight and that is exactly what this cheese is. It is made by the Delin Creamery in the heart of the Côte de Nuits vineyards in Burgundy, France. Délice des Crémiers is a soft, decadent creamy cheese which is extremely rich and luxurious, due to the fact it is made with cream, double cream and crème fraiche! It has a deliciously soft spreadable interior which is rich, creamy and velvety smooth with a slight lemony sour edge.
The Delin Creamery has been producing award-winning cheeses since 1970. The creamery specialises in traditional and creamy, soft double and triple cream cheeses. The Delin family have always supported local farmers, indeed all of the cows’ milk for their cheeses comes from the local area. If you are ever in the town of Gilly-lès-Cîteaux you will see the Delin milk lorries out on their rounds collecting the milk ready for cheesemaking. Once the cheeses have been made Delin ripen the Délice des Crémiers in cellars for at least three weeks. At this time the cheeses are placed into boxes to protect them during transportation and they continue to ripen in the wooden box for a further two weeks.
This cheese comes as a 1kg round so if you order 1kg you will get the whole cheese!
Délice des Crémiers definitely has the wow factor. We like to pair it with Champagne for a tasting experience of a lifetime!
