Christmas orders are now being taken.
Orders for delivery in December must be placed by 8th December. After then we offer counter service only all the way to Christmas Eve.
Scottish Blue Cheese is used to describe cheeses from Scotland which have veins of mould that have been encouraged to grow within them. This mould usually comes from Penicillium which is introduced to the cheese in different ways.
Some Scottish blue cheeses such as Strathdon Blue are pierced with needles to allow air into the cheese which allows the mould to form veins throughout the cheese. Others have more open rinds which allow the air to enter without the need for the piercing to occur.
Many of our Blue Cheeses are award winning. We have tasted many different wonderful cheeses and have chosen the very best for our cheese counter. We stock more than 15 blue cheeses from the UK and Europe.
Our Blue Cheeses are sold by the 100g unless otherwise stated.
