This cheese is wrapped in nettles. It is made from pasteurised cows’ milk and is a fresh, lemony cheese.
It is creamy under its natural rind and slightly crumbly in the core. Yarg gets its name from the original cheesemakers, the Gray family. They were trying to come up with a Cornish name and decided that Gray backwards would be appropriate.
