Ingredients
- 25g Butter
- 25g Flour
- 300ml Milk
- 50g Gould’s Farmhouse Cheddar (or any piece of cheese you happen to have in the back of the fridge), grated
- 1 teaspoon of mustard (optional)
- Salt & Pepper to season
Method
- Place the butter and flour in a saucepan and cook on a low heat whilst stirring continuously
- Gradually add the milk and continue stirring whilst the sauce thickens
- Slowly stir in the cheese and mustard
- Add salt & pepper as desired
